Here at Mainstream we understand that for end users, designing and building AHUs can seem like the easy part, compared to installation. That’s why we’ve begun offering factory site assembly, in an effort to reduce the pain points throughout the process of replacing air handling equipment. Whether the building constraints mean the entire AHU needs to come through a hatch, or up an elevator, or even up a flight of stairs—we know how to deal with any scenario. Our equipment is designed for ease of breakdown and reassembly, but who better to handle that than those who built the unit?
With decades of experience in the industry, Mainstream’s engineering team is well equipped to select and design air handling equipment that will fit your needs. Whether the job calls for certain performance requirements, or has dimensional constraints or design specifications, our team has the know-how and creativity to get you what you need. Aided by selection and modeling program, and CAD design software, we can produce CAD drawings of unit configuration, fan reports and curves, coil reports and data on all components. Give us a call for a free consultation on any job you feel we may be a good fit for!
Retrofitting the most worn components of an air handling unit is an effective way to improve the reliability and extend the life of an HVAC system. In many cases, the cabinet of an AHU may remain in good condition while the components have deteriorated, and analyzing and identifying what can be improved or replaced is nearly always significantly more cost effective than replacing the entire unit. Whether that is replacing the coils or upgrading the fans, Mainstream’s engineering team has the ability and knowledge to pinpoint and provide the right solutions for your needs.
